It is hard to choose only five patterns among all. I think these on my list are absolutely adorable and I would love to knit and wear all of them.

You can find plenty of inspiration on Pinterest. I find these with pictures and I put a link to Ravelry.

So, there is my list of the top five knitted skirts.

Hello Autumn

Hello Autumn!! Hello hats, scarves, gloves!! Welcome!

I must admit that I made a summer break in knitting. But now I continue with lots of ideas. This hat has long been on my knitting wish list. The pattern is from DROPS Design, it is Ice Age hat.

The pattern consists of many braids and cables. I love this kind of hats. The original pattern does not include a rib, but I think it looks better with it. That's why I added k1, p1 rib. I also added a pom pom. So it seems a lot warmer and cozy.

My knitting wish list is very long. Therefore I expect a lot of fun with my knitting needles. I am  already working on my next project.

Have You Tried To Knit Simple Slouchy Beanie

I did not want to use any certain pattern. I actually wanted to use Brioche Stitch to practise it. I used Brioche Stitch in the round.

So, I casted on 135 stitches and joined them in the round. Then I worked k1, p1 rib for 1,5 inch.
After that I started to work Brioche Stitch. I found many different ways of knitting Brioche online. But the closest way that I used you could see here
I have worked in Brioche for 5 inches (total 6,5 inches). I found decreasing in Brioche a little tricky so I continued to work k1, p1 for 1,5 inch more. I think it is a really good tip for decreasing stitches when doing Brioche.

All that remains is decreasing:
- rnd1: *k1, slip 2 as if you were to k2tog, k1, lift that 2 slipped sts over the knitted and off the needle*, repeat from*to*
- rnd2:*k2tog all the round.
Cut yarn, leaving 6-10 inch tail and draw it trough remainig stitches, closing the top tightly. Weave in ends using tapestry needle. I also made a pom pom and attached it on the beanie.

Really simple but looks so great and cosily.

I think Brioche is also great for scarves and I'd love to hear your experiences. And what kind of hat do you prefer?

W.I.P. in blue

Something new. And wonderful. I recently bought yarn PERLITA in the gentle light-blue color. I decided to knit something for me, for the summer. I wanted an interesting pattern with lace. And I found it.
Samos pattern by Ulrik vibe Sondergaard. Here is link to the projects on Ravelry. Really great model, with unusual back lower part. I can not wait to see how that part of my work will look. I decided to knit the front piece first. The reason is that I simply wondered if I'll be able to knit the lace because it seems complicated. But I managed. And here's how it looks.

The weathe is sunny these days, but not too warm so it's great for walking in nature. I'd like to go to one wonderful place to sped a day outside. With my knitting project of course. It is not far from my house and the view is superb. These blue clouds reminds me of the colour of my yarn.

Another Spring Day

There are many beautiful things around us. But often we do not notice them. We only need turn around us and open our eyes for simply but beautiful things. These days, there is no greater beauty than in nature. Just look at all that blossoms.

Today I enjoyed all of this. But I also enyojed because I have finished one hat. The colour of the hat fits in the spring. Pattern is Lacy Leaf Hat by Brenda Lewis. It is free pattern and you can find it here.
I am satisfied how it turned out. This lacy pattern was very interesting to knit. I really enjoyed.

My Alexandrite

Although the weather is still chilly I began to knit things for the summer. It needs to be ready for the warmer days. I knitted several things using this wool. I used Alize Angora Gold simli.

The pattern is Alexandrite Tank by Robin Melanson from Knitscene, Spring 2014. You can also find pattern on Ravelry

I find this pattern very interesting. Simpathy at first sight. What attracted me the most is the collar. I also love the back of this tank. The garter stitch collar is worked as a separate piece and is twisted at the center front before being sewn to the garment. Love that idea.

My list of projects for the summer is too long. There is so much I want to knit.

I am now eagerly waiting for the hot sunny days!

Waistcoat for all seasons

The pattern is Short DROPS waistcoat. It is free and you can find it here

I find this pattern so lovely and feminine. It is worked back and fort on needle, back piece, left and right front pieces and then assembled together in one piece. I like how this traditional points of the waistcoat on front pieces turned out. And I like it because it is wearable all seasons.

I worked with the size S for me.

I must admit that I really like projects like this. It was quickly completed, simple but interesting enough to keep the attention.

Buttons I used are from my collection of old buttons. I just realized that I´m actually real collector. Here are some photos of these old buttons.

W.I.P.

I have almost finished this beautiful shawl. The pattern is Unilintu by Luminen and it is free on Ravelry.

I am knitting it with 3 diferent colours. Refering to pattern it should have 13 eyelet rows. But I want add some more rows in black colour.

It is real pleasure to knit this. Garter stich and eyelet rows create very simple but so beautiful texture. I haven´t done many shawls by now and because of that I am very excited. I think it is going to be very beautiful and definitely one of my favourite projects.

This is how it looks:

Baby Uggs

It is real pleasure  knit something for the baby. Each baby garment  is so sweet that I immediately want to knit it. And so, although I am not surrounded by babies, when I saw this uggs pattern I immediately decided to start.
You can find free pattern here. It does
not require too much time, material and it is really easy. It is knitted in one piece and have only one seam.

Something for girls

Red. Color for women. :) I found the idea on page Drops Design, except that I have reduced the number of stiches. It is very simple pattern, only uses knits and purls.

It is knitted in the round. In the end I added a bow, which I already had knitted.

Fingerless mitts

Gloves, as a fashion accessory, are one of the favorite winter pieces, but they also protect us from the cold. However, sometimes they are a little impractical, for example when we want to find something in the bag, use the telephone ect..

But there is a solution, such as fingerless mitts. Menu are simply irresistible. That's why I decided, this winter, the first time to try to knit one for myself. So I started accompanying video explanation, which I found on youtube-u. But I ended up with several pairs of this, in different colors, designs and sizes. They are not complicated to knit and do not need a lot of time. Because that, if you knit, I recommend you to try. I have some even donated.
